Fix My Heart and Eyes on Thine

Lyrics

Verse 1
Fix my heart and eyes on thine! (Heb. 12:2)
What are other objects worth?
But to see thy glory shine, (John 17:24, II Cor. 3:18)
Is a heav’n begun on earth:
Trifles can no longer move, (Col. 3:2)
O, I tread on all beside, (Phil. 3:8)
When I feel my Saviour’s love,
And remember how he died.

Verse 2
Now my search is at an end,
Now my wishes rove no more! (Ps. 73:25)
Thus my moments I would spend,
Love, and wonder, and adore:
Jesus, source of excellence!
All thy glorious love reveal!
Kingdoms shall not bribe me hence, (Matt. 16:26, Mark 8:36, Matt. 4:8-9, Luke 4:5-8)
While this happiness I feel.

Verse 3
Making thus the LORD my choice, (Josh. 24:15)
I have nothing more to choose,
But to listen to thy voice, (John 10:27)
And my will in thine to lose: (Matt. 6:10, Luke 11:2)
Thus, whatever may betide,
I shall safe and happy be;
Still content and satisfied, (Phil. 4:11)
Having all, in having thee. (Col. 2:9-10)
