The Sword of the Lord and of Gideon

Lyrics

Verse 1
Three hundred men keeping watch at the stream
Were all who were left with the sword (Judges 7:4-8)
So Israel would know when the battle was won
The glory belongs to the Lord (Judges 7:2)

Chorus 1
God who with us is greater by far
Than all of the forces of Midian
He is sufficient when all that we have
Is the sword of the Lord and of Gideon (Judges 7:1-22)
The sword of the Lord and of Gideon (Judges 7:18)

Verse 2
Three hundred men at the enemy camp
With trumpet and pitcher and light (Judges 7:16)
All sounded their trumpets and shattered their jars
The enemy fled in the night (Judges 7:19-22)

Repeat chorus 1

Verse 3
Satan is roaring and roaming the earth
In search of whom he may devour (I Pet. 5:8)
But He that is in us is greater by far (I Jn. 4:4)
He keeps and protects with His pow’r (Ps. 121:7-8)

Chorus 2
God who in us is greater by far
Than all of the forces of Midian
He is sufficient when all that we have
Is the sword of the Lord and of Gideon
The sword of the Lord and of Gideon
